20 minutes?? what the crap can you talk about for that long? Umm.. well, i guess you could talk about things that are bad, certain fats and oils and stuff, (whatever they are). And then give everyone hummus and Carr's table water crackers because it's my favorite snack and super healthy and low-bad.
Yikes. I actually love talking about that sorta thing. It's maybe the only thing I could talk about for twenty minutes without bursting into tears of embarrassment before time's up.
if it is for kids you can talk about how presentation and availabilty is EVERYTHING. Cut up apples and peanut butter with the apple circling the peanut dip....string cheese with an orange is a great protein/carb option. I like wheat crackers with a small V8 it is quite delish and quick.
You could also do that muffin recipe that I sent you. That is a great snack. I would point out to try to make common things more healthy by putting wheat flower in your cookies instead of white (you can use hard white wheat which tastes a lot less wheaty.) Or by using applesauce instead of butter....not all of it in a recipe but half is good.
Or adding flax seed to your cookies ...or anything. This is a great addition to anything and doesn't taste. Um, also a huge fan of vegetable puree's right now. I made some chocolate milk that has sweet potatoes in it and heber drinks it all of the time. So, I'm all for cookies and chocolate milk snacks....just try to put good things where ever you can.
Rachel! So fun to find your blog! I haven't seen you guys in ages! Where are you living now? You little girl is so adorable and you guys look like you are doing well and are happy. We sure miss having you guys around. Love reading about all your adventures! Hope to hear from you more!
Well, I survived. Each 20-minute class (there were 3) could have been about 10 minutes, but people chatted and talked about what they eat for healthy snacks. And everyone liked the cookies and muffins. So that's great! I survived basically, which is great. It's over. Thank goodness! And thanks for all the help! Sheesh!

talk about m&ms. they are my favorite. and if you don't eat too many, i bet they're okay for you.
Forget what i said before. It would be really funny to teach about good health and eating right and then serve brownies.
Perfect!! I'm hear to help!
Are these snacks for kids or snacks for adults?
